Viewing Gate To Heaven From Halong Bay Heritage Marathon Track

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022, Vietnam's oldest heritage race, will bring runners a unique experience: watching the gate to heaven right on the track.

 

Opened on the limestone mountain range to the left of the track running in the direction of Ha Long-Cam Pha, in Ha Trung ward, Ha Long city, the 'Gate to Heaven' is how the locals name this wonder of nature. Through the square window near the top of the mountain, there will be a high, clear blue sky in summer, while at the end of autumn, the door frame will open to a mist, real but fanciful like in a dream.

Returning in the 8th edition, the new running track of the Halong Bay Heritage Marathon trails the coastal road, surrounded by rocky mountains creating a limestone masterpiece in the heart of Ha Long Bay.

Making the background for the running track is a watercolor painting with beautiful mountains above water and thousands of rocky islands of all shapes.

Runner will also experience a special feeling in the late autumn morning, with the cold dew early in the day on the shore of the bay, unleashing imagination when looking at the rocky islands, one lonely standing in the sea, and others interweaving their tops to form spectacular shapes.

The Ha Long Bay Heritage Marathon 2022's Organizers are still waiting for runners to discover more interesting things, from the completely renovated running track to Vietnam's biggest national-ranked prize system for professional and non-professional leagues.

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022 has the ONLY track in Ha Long to be certified by the World Athletics and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. The race is part of the official competition system of the Vietnam Sports Administration and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. The marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, starting from 2022.
