Coastal Fishing Village - A Culture Feature Of Ha Long

Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022 competition will offer runners a glimpse of rows of fishing boats and peaceful fishing villages on the shore of a world heritage site.

 

This is a unique cultural feature of Ha Long fishermen, which runners competing in Vietnam's oldest heritage race could witness.

Nestled beneath mountains are small villages, with only a few dozen families, many from them spending their days floating on the waves. The beauty of rustic labor is an attractive feature for the colorful yet simple picture of the fishing village.

When night falls, the fishermen would take their nets and sail off for shrimp and fish. In the next morning, boats laden with marine products would return to the wharf. After a long and quiet wave-conquering night, the mist of dawn suddenly became the background for the symphony of trading noises at the local fish market.

Fishing is a typical culture of fishermen in Ha Long and many coastal areas for centuries. Today, cultural values ​​are not only preserved, but also developed in association with tourism, contributing to beautify the picture of Ha Long Bay.

Striding in the cool autumn morning on an extremely broad track to follow the coastal road of Ha Long Bay, watching the rows of returning boats and fishermen's shining smiles, runners will surely get refreshed with more healthy energy.

The Organizers of the Ha Long Bay Heritage Marathon 2022 would like to wish the runners a great experience on one of Vietnam's most beautiful running tracks, and a good practice in order to achieve PRs, PBs as well as other personal goals at the November marathon.

The Halong Bay Heritage Marathon 2022 has the ONLY track in Ha Long to be certified by the World Athletics and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races. The race is part of the official competition system of the Vietnam Sports Administration and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. The marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, starting from 2022.
